Media Issues: Who Can You Trust?
presented by Frank G. Wright.
Frank Wright retired from Minneapolis Star and Tribune in
1998 after serving for 44 years as Minnesota political
reporter 1964-68, Washington Bureau Correspondent
1968-72, Washington Bureau Chief, 1972-1977, a decade of
Watergate, Vietnam, and somebody from MN constantly
running for president (Humphrey, McCarthy) or getting
ready to (Mondale) !!
He was the Tribune's Managing Editor 1977-82, managing
editor for news, merged Star Tribune, 1982-84. Associate
editor-foreign correspondent, 1984-98, reporting from more
than 60 countries.
Frank Wright has received numerous state, national and
internation awards for reporting. He is the former chair of
the Star Tribune unit, Twin Citites Newspaper Guild and
newsroom union. He is a former president of the Minnesota
Associated Press, former Pulitzer Prize juror and a current
member of the Executive Committee, Nobel Peace Prize
forum. He is a "faculty" member of Augsburg College of the
Third Age and University of St. Thomas Center for Senior
Citizens' Education. He is a Minnesota International Center
Great Decisions Speaker.
Mr. Wright lives at Gramercy Park Cooperative at Lake
Shore Drive.
